My new hobby: This Laser Olympic style sailboat; they are quick!

One of my passions is to sail! But haven’t had the chance to practice much, as I don’t have a boat and it’s been couple years since I took my American Sailing Association license in St-Vincent-and-the-Grenadines. This time, I booked a Laser sailing class in Fortaleza in northern Brazil as I’ll be working from here for a while! Its tough, but these little boats are quick! They flip easily but I already got the trick after a few hours, and I’m speeding in the bay of Fortaleza every day now ūüôā

Dubrovnik, Croatia, ruined by Game of Thrones…

Yes, that’s right… ruined… So I first came here back in 2005, when it was still a European city dreaded by most travelers. It was still off the beaten track, and felt like a reward to arrive here with its beautiful old town! I came back over the years and ever since Game of Thrones took over the place, it has lost its Feel… Don’t get me wrong, it is still beautiful, but a beautiful flower without a smell, a flavor, is not the same anymore…¬†It has become a Disney Land for American consumers eager to satisfy their television fantasy to “I’ve been on the scene of the game of Thrones”… Cruise Ships flood the area, everything has to do with the game of thrones… Anyway, I never watched an episode of Game of Thrones as I don’t watch much TV… But maybe its an […]

My Travel Map: Updated March 2016

I just finished one of the most puzzling and logistically hard to plan leg of my travels, the Pacific Islands. My count is now up to 173, a quick¬†rise since these minuscule islands are quick to visit. It was especially hard to plan and synchronize the flights between the islands and spent 1 week in Bali planing to make it work. and it did. but it was risky… flights are non-refundable… Which means in the peak of the cyclone¬†season, if I miss a flight on one island, I will miss the remainder of my trip! and oddly enough, it almost happens! Cyclone¬†Winston, the strongest cyclone ever recoreded in the southern hemisphere struck Fiji, while I was waiting to fly there from the Marshall Islands. But I was just a few days lucky, I managed to catch my flight and continue my adventures.

171/195: Tuvalu – I finally found paradise…

This is one of my favorite picture of all time… I’ve taken this picture offshore of Tuvalu on some desert island while cruising around on a little dingy boat! It was mind-blowing, even better in real life but this is the best I could shoot it to represent its full flavor. Magnificent coral creates some sort of 3D effect with depth. Love it!   Its a Panorama, I made it about 150 degrees, which is my favorite width on panoramas, it kind of represents the eyesight
